Nina's Debut Album!
"In her first solo project Nina Landis manages to do three things that most musical artists work their whole lives for:
1. A unique and specifically "new sound" comes out of her, musically. Something that pleases the ears and stirs the spirit. Incorporating everything from a myriad of drums to banjos and soaring strings, this album is a melodic journey from the first note to the very last.
2. She brings a depth of writing that is profound. You cannot listen to this album and not be convicted. On many of the tracks Nina's voice literally begs you to hear the voice of justice and do SOMETHING.
3. If you didn't know this was her first solo album this album would sound like a definitive work, the one album in a career of music in which every track was astounding and solid. The fact that this is only the beginning should give you chills and an anticipation for the future of this favored one.
Rarely do all these things come together as perfectly and humbly as they do here. But they do and it is truly more than a cd, it is an experience."
